The winegrowing landscapes of Langhe, Roero and Monferrato have been recognized as UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
This landscape covers five distinct wine-growing areas with exceptional landscapes and the well-known Castello di Cavour, an emblematic name both in the development of the vineyards and in Italian history. It is located in the southern part of Piedmont, between the river Po and the Ligurian Apennines, and includes the entire range of technical and economic processes relating to viticulture and winemaking that has characterized the region for centuries, since Roman times.
